Birth Pool In A Box Hire
Use of water for labour and birth has proven benefits. The Birth Pool in a Box (Regular size) is used in many NHS hospitals and has the following benefits:

- has a built-in seat for bonding with baby after birth
- is quick and easy to clean with its included disposable liner
- can be adjusted to the right height for you with its 3 independent chambers
- is fit for purpose: certified by medical device regulators in Europe and the USA. Evidenced by the CE mark.
- is No 1: over 8,000 births a year are in a birth pool in a box
- is the only birth pool tested and approved for sale by Boots, Mothercare and NCT
The pool we offer for hire is for the Birth Pool in a Box – regular size. The specifications of this pool are:
Handles 6 - 2 side 2 at top end & 2 at bottom end
Internal seat

Water capacity 650 litres - 80% filled and 730 litres - 90% filled
Floor Inflated 6cm deep - over 100% of floor
The cost for hire is just £85 for five weeks (reduced cost of £75 to all Chrysalis Centre previous clients) and includes the following:
- Either drop off or collection of the pool within 25 mile radius of ME20 or BN15 postcodes.
- Pool.
- Disposable Liner.
- Tarpaulin to protect your floor.
- Heat cover to keep the heat in the water when not in use.
- Tap connectors.
- Hose for filling.
- Pump to inflate pool.
- Pump to empty water.
- Mirror.
- Sieve.
- Thermometer.
The hire is from 37 to 42 weeks of your pregnancy.
If you wish to have the pool delivered to you AND collected the cost will be an extra £15 for the 20 mile radius from ME20 or BN15 postcodes (for costs of delivery and collection over this radius, please contact me).
